Hip to Gable Loft Conversions

A Hip to Gable loft conversion changes the sloping side ”hipped side” of your property, to a flat, gable end, this creates a much bigger loft area and often enough space for a staircase. Generally, houses with hip roofs do not to have enough internal volume for a conversion to be practical so choosing a hip to gable conversion is the best option. There are several options for the finishing of the masonry gable wall, which include brickwork, block work with render or tiled.

Once the roof has been extended the conversion is normally completed with either velux rooflight windows or a dormer.
